Welcome to the chateau.

I cannot begin to think how many years I have spent trawling through the antiques markets of Paris and throughout France truffling out vintage French textiles and shabby chic , time-worn treasures, but my love of doing so quickly became an addiction - but an addiction which I have been happy to indulge in!

With the renovation of our 'petit chateau' here in Normandy progressing well and, more importantly, now having a sound roof over what shall be my studio office, I felt that it was time to tackle those boxes and trunks in the barns and in armoires where I have been hoarding my vintage treasures for so long - treasures found (often very early in the morning) at attic clearances and street markets. I had stashed them away for a 'rainy day' which never seemed to arrive.

There is something for everyone; a morceau of silk ribbon to a little 19th century handwritten love note that I simply could not bear to leave behind; old sewing accesories to jewellery for re-working. A host of scrumptious, charming little trinkets and unique sentimental pieces that have been stored away for years.

I would, if I could, lay them all out on the lawns for you to lazily truffle through but since Normandy is quite a way to travel and the chateau is very well hidden here on the marsh, what better way than for me to hold my own brocante?
